Mackinac Island Fall Fudge Festival

An early-October weekend on Mackinac Island built around fudge: shop demonstrations, a fudge scavenger hunt, lumberjack shows and fall activities.

The Fall Fudge Festival gives you a reason to visit Mackinac Island in early October, with fall colors along the bike routes. The island’s fudge shops put on demonstrations, and the town adds fall activities around them.

Check ferry schedules before you book a day trip.

What to expect

The 2026 festival included fudge-making demonstrations, lumberjack shows, hay rides and pumpkin painting, partner and line dancing, a speed jigsaw puzzle contest (registration required) and Fudge Quest, a scavenger hunt with clues around town.
