The Colonial Golf Course
A 27-hole public facility in Hart, opened in 1999, with an 18-hole championship course, a short nine-hole course and a large range.
The Colonial is a 27-hole public golf facility on North 72nd Avenue in Hart. Jeff Gourney designed the course, which opened in 1999 on land whose original deed dates to 1858. The 18-hole Colonial course has large greens and four sets of tees ranging from about 5,100 to 6,900 yards, and the prevailing wind comes off Lake Michigan.
The nine-hole Heritage course is a par-30 executive layout of about 1,600 yards, suited to juniors and beginners. The facility also has a 12-acre driving range and a seasonal bar and restaurant beside the pro shop.
