Manistee’s city marina is on River Street along the Manistee Riverwalk, beside the historic downtown district. The City of Manistee runs it and books advance stays through the State of Michigan’s central reservation system.
The city points out that restaurants, shops, theaters, the library, a museum and summer concerts are all within walking distance, and that the Riverwalk leads toward the Lake Michigan beaches. The river also connects the marina with Manistee Lake, so it works both as a downtown overnight and as a base for exploring the area by water.
