Mackinaw City Municipal Marina

The Village of Mackinaw City's marina on the Straits of Mackinac, a harbor of refuge for transient boats with showers and a boaters' lounge.

The Mackinaw City Municipal Marina is one of the village-owned waterfront parks on South Huron Avenue, built with federal and state funds and run as a harbor of refuge for transient boats in the Straits. Its lawn hosts community events and band concerts, and it holds a veterans memorial and three Civil War cannons from the USS Hartford.

Boaters docking here have showers, restrooms and an indoor recreation area. The village’s 1,100-foot fishing and observation pier and a chain of shoreline parks with views of the Mackinac Bridge and the islands are nearby. The DNR’s Straits State Harbor is a separate facility close by on the same street.
