Elk Rapids’ Edward C. Grace Memorial Harbor sits on East Grand Traverse Bay, a few steps from the village’s downtown. The Village of Elk Rapids runs it, and about 50 slips are kept for visiting boats.
The village describes it as a state-sponsored harbor of refuge. With fuel and pump-out on site and a short walk to town, it makes a practical stop on the east arm of the bay. Reservations are handled by the village rather than the state, and they open in mid-May.
The harbor takes its own transient reservations online, opening each year on May 15. It is not part of the state's central reservation system.
About 50 slips of various lengths are set aside for transient boaters from May through October. Peak-season stays are limited to 14 days unless slips are open.
The village says downtown is a few steps from the harbor, and short-term shopping dockage is offered.
Anything not listed here is unverified. Contact the harbor before arriving. Not for navigation: use current NOAA charts and the NWS marine forecast.
