Mt. Holiday

A small community nonprofit ski hill in East Bay Township, east of Traverse City, with snow tubing in winter and zipline tours and trails in the warmer months.

Mt. Holiday is Traverse City’s neighborhood ski hill, run as a community nonprofit since 2002 with a mission of affordable outdoor recreation in all four seasons. It suits families, beginners and anyone who wants a few runs close to town without a resort day.

Winter brings skiing and a snow tubing hill. In the warmer months the hill lists zipline tours and hiking and biking trails.

Check in at Guest Services for lift tickets, rentals and tubing or zip line passes, or reserve tubing and zip line time online before you go; zip line tours are booked in advance.

The site posts a trail map and a trail report. Check it before you go, since a small hill’s season depends on the weather.
