Shanty Creek Resorts Golf

Shanty Creek Resorts, outside Bellaire in Antrim County’s Chain of Lakes country, has five golf courses and 90 holes. The resort calls The Legend Arnold Palmer’s Michigan masterpiece, and Traverse City Tourism lists Cedar River as a Tom Weiskopf design. Hawk’s Eye, which Golf Digest credits to John Robinson, joined the resort to bring it to five courses. Schuss Mountain and Summit round out the set.

The resort takes public tee times alongside member play, and it runs a golf academy. Lodging ranges from hotel rooms to condos and homes spread across the resort’s villages, and Torch Lake and the Grass River Natural Area are nearby.
