Two 18-hole courses at the Boyne Mountain ski resort in Boyne Falls: the Alpine, which runs down the mountain, and the Monument.
Boyne Mountain, the ski resort in Boyne Falls southeast of Boyne City, has two 18-hole championship courses that the resort lists as open to the public. The Alpine works its way down the mountain on a fairly open layout. The Monument asks more of the player, with tighter fairways and rolling greens, and its holes are dedicated to famous players and architects; the Petoskey Area Visitors Bureau says it borrows from the design ideas of Donald Ross, Robert Trent Jones, Pete Dye and others.
Golf Digest credits both courses to William Newcomb. The resort’s lodging is on the same grounds.
