In Boyne Falls, south of Petoskey
Boyne Mountain sits in Boyne Falls, south of Petoskey, and is one of the two Boyne ski and golf resorts the Petoskey Area Visitors Bureau highlights for the region. It describes itself as a year-round destination resort.
Winter is built around downhill skiing and snowboarding across more than 400 skiable acres, along with terrain parks, a tubing park and a free beginner area. The visitors bureau also lists the Nordican Center’s cross-country trails, some of them lit for night skiing. A season pass covers both Boyne Mountain and its sibling resort, The Highlands at Harbor Springs.
The rest of the year, the resort offers two 18-hole golf courses, The Alpine and The Monument, plus ziplines and the SkyBridge Michigan suspension walkway with views over the valley. Avalanche Bay is an indoor waterpark, and the Mountain Grand Lodge houses the resort’s spa. Lodging includes slopeside chalets and lodge rooms.
