Cherry Capital Airport

Traverse City's airport is the region's main commercial gateway, with six airlines and a full-service FBO for private and charter flights.

Cherry Capital Airport, owned by the Northwest Regional Airport Authority, is served by six airlines and is the usual arrival point for Traverse City, Leelanau County, Sleeping Bear Dunes and Benzie County.

Private and charter aircraft use the Avflight FBO on the airport’s general aviation side, where Northwestern Michigan College also runs its aviation program. Rental cars, shuttles and BATA transit connect the terminal to the surrounding area.
