Northport's village marina near the tip of the Leelanau Peninsula, with transient slips, fuel and pump-out a short walk from the village center.
The G. Marsten Dame Marina, also called Northport Harbor, is the Village of Northport’s marina on Grand Traverse Bay near the tip of the Leelanau Peninsula. About half of its slips go to transient boaters, and the docks sit a short walk from the small village center.
With fuel, pump-out, showers and laundry on site, it works well as a provisioning and overnight stop for boats moving between Traverse City and the open lake. In 2023 the village began rebuilding the harbor’s parking lot and boat ramp, with the DNR sharing the cost.
Transient slips are reserved through the Michigan DNR reservation system, online at MiDNRReservations.com or by phone at 1-800-447-2757.
The village says roughly half of the marina's slips are set aside for transient and overnight boaters.
Restrooms, showers and laundry are listed among the amenities, and the village center is a short walk away.
Anything not listed here is unverified. Contact the harbor before arriving. Not for navigation: use current NOAA charts and the NWS marine forecast.
