Beach · Charlevoix & Petoskey
A dog-friendly beach on Little Traverse Bay near downtown Harbor Springs, with free parking, a restroom and an easy kayak launch.
Zoll Street Beach is the Harbor Springs beach for dog owners and paddlers. It sits on Little Traverse Bay close to downtown Harbor Springs, and dogs are welcome.
You get free parking and a public restroom, and the shore is an easy place to put in a kayak, canoe or paddleboard and head out along the bay. It also works for a swim or a picnic, and for watching the boats in the harbor.
There is no lifeguard information listed, so swim at your own risk and keep an eye on the wind and waves before you paddle out.
With kids who want a raft, a marked swim area and a lawn for lunch, walk over to Zorn Park Beach downtown instead. Dogs are not allowed on the sand there, so Zoll Street is the one to pick when yours is along. If you want to add a ride, the paved Little Traverse Wheelway links Harbor Springs with Petoskey; check current trail conditions first.
