Portage Point Resort stands on the northwest side of Portage Lake, on the point between the lake and Lake Michigan. A summer assembly began building the inn in July 1902 and it opened to guests in June 1903.
Pure Michigan lists an infinity-edge pool and hot tub, a pub, boat slips, beach access and space for weddings, and shows the resort as open year-round. The resort says it has recently changed hands and has renovations planned.
