Michillinda Lodge occupies about 22 mostly wooded acres on Scenic Drive, with roughly 400 feet of Lake Michigan shoreline. The name joins Michigan, Illinois and Indiana, the home states of the families who bought the land in the 1890s, and the property has run as a resort since the 1920s. The original main lodge burned in 2012.
Today guests stay in cottages and other buildings that together hold about 110 people, rented by the week or for shorter stays. The White Lake Area Chamber & Visitors Bureau lists a heated outdoor pool, tennis courts, volleyball and a campfire area, and Pure Michigan shows the resort operating from spring through fall.
