Hotel Walloon

Hotel Walloon stands on M-75 in Walloon Lake Village, beside the lake that gives the village its name. The Petoskey Area Chamber of Commerce describes it as an independently owned and operated boutique hotel with 32 guest rooms, open all year, and the hotel itself notes that it has held AAA’s Four Diamond rating since 2016.

AAA’s inspectors point to custom artwork, heated marble bathroom floors and, in most rooms, a private patio or balcony with a view. The hotel lists two restaurants: Barrel Back, a waterfront spot with lake views, and the Walloon Lake Inn, a historic dining room serving northern Michigan cooking. The chamber also lists an outdoor heated spa, a front porch and a patio facing the lake at sunset.
