Beaver Island Airport

The township-owned airport on Beaver Island has a paved runway and two seasonal turf strips, and is served by on-demand flights from Charlevoix.

Beaver Island Airport is owned by St. James and Peaine Townships and is the island’s main airfield, in Lake Michigan off Charlevoix. Its two turf runways close from November through April. Fresh Air Aviation flies an on-demand air taxi between Charlevoix and this airport, with no fixed departure times. Private pilots will find self-service avgas on the field.
